Lot Of Nawaafil Before The Imaam Mounts The Mimbar

Shaykh Ibnu Baaz was asked:

What is the ruling on the Sunnah Qabliyah (Sunnah nawaafil) for Jumu'ah?

The Answer:

On Jumu‘ah, there is no specific nawaafil before Jumu‘ah. Rather, a person does salah nawaafil of whatever Allaah facilitates for him when he enters the masjid; he does salah of what Allaah has decreed for him. The Prophet (صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ) did not specify a set number of rakahs.

Instead, he said: "He then observes (from nawaafil salah) what was destined for him.." and that is sufficient. This is what the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم ) said.

The Prophet صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said:

[Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:] Whoever takes a bath and then comes for Jumu'ah salah (prayer) and then observes (from nawaafil salah) what was destined for him, then kept silence (listens attentively) till the Imaam finished the Khutbah, and then did salah (Jumu‘ah) along with him, his sins between that time and the next Friday would be forgiven, and even of three days more. [Muslim 857 transmitted it.]

The point is his saying: 'and prays what Allah destines for him.'

He did not specify a known number of rakahs. This indicates that it is recommended for him to do the salah of whatever Allaah facilitates for him, at least two rakahs, or four rakahs, or more than that.

And even if he does salah until the Imaam comes out, there is no harm in that; all of it is good, all of it is good. He may observe eight, or ten, or more. Then, when the Imaam comes out for the sermon, he sits to await the Khutbah and listen to it. Yes.

Imaam An-Nawawi رحمه الله, in his commentary on the mentioned hadith, said:

And in it (the hadith) is that performing voluntary salah before the Imaam comes out on Jumu'ah is recommended, and this is our madhhab (school of thought) and the madhhab of the majority. And in it is that unrestricted nawaafil (voluntary) salah have no limit, due to his (صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) saying: 'And then observes (from nawaafil salah) what was destined for him.' End quote.

How to Buy Bitcoin?

Most people buy Bitcoin via exchanges, such as Coinbase. Exchanges allow you to buy, sell and hold cryptocurrency, and setting up an account is similar to opening a brokerage account—you’ll need to verify your identity and provide some kind of funding source, such as a bank account or debit card. Major exchanges include Coinbase, Kraken, and Gemini. You can also buy Bitcoin at a broker like Robinhood. Regardless of where you buy your Bitcoin, you’ll need a digital wallet in which to store it. This might be what’s called a hot wallet or a cold wallet. A hot wallet (also called an online wallet) is stored by an exchange or a provider in the cloud. Providers of online wallets include Exodus, Electrum and Mycelium. A cold wallet (or mobile wallet) is an offline device used to store Bitcoin and is not connected to the Internet. Some mobile wallet options include Trezor and Ledger.
